Please take note of the following industry updates:

FSCA

• The FSCA has released a communication notice on CIS (Collective Investment Schemes) - Publication of final Conduct Standards on Delegation of Administration functions by CIS Managers and Net Asset Valuation Calculation and Pricing for Collective Investment Scheme Portfolios
• Note that the conduct standards authority previously released a Consultation Paper. This communication notice therefore serves as the finalised paper.

• The FSCA has published a Document for Consultation regarding an FMA Draft Conduct Standard for comment - Conduct Standard for Exchanges and Draft Directive-
• Directive for Exchanges in terms of sections 6(4) and 17(2) of the Financial Markets Act
• Comments are due 15 July 2020.

Ethics in a Time of Crisis

The Ethics Practitioners Association (EPA) is extending an invitation to the Independent Professioanl Body Forum community to join a free webinar presented by the EPA Chair, Cynthia Schoeman.
A serious, widespread crisis can enhance ethics, both in terms of organisational reputations and cultures, or it can erode ethics and destroy trust.  Cynthia will explore the key questions this raises:

• What are the key factors that shape these different outcomes?
• What ethical dilemmas have emerged as a result of the current crisis?
• How do we manage these dilemmas with ethical wisdom and moral courage?
